My Story

For five years, I was my daughter’s primary caregiver. I held her through every milestone, kissed every scraped knee, and celebrated every “first.” She was my world. Then, just before she started kindergarten, the court ruled for a 50/50 custody arrangement—against my will.

It crushed me. Suddenly, the days that were once filled with her laughter felt too quiet. I realized just how precious our time together truly was. And I also realized something else: I needed to find ways to keep our bond strong, no matter how the calendar was divided.

Equally Hers was born out of that moment—out of love, grief, and determination. It’s a place where mothers like me can come to build on our relationships with our children, to create meaningful connections, and to share activities, resources, and ideas that keep us close despite the lack of time.

I love my little girl more than words can say. She inspired this space. She chose me to be her mom. And I will always, always put her first.
